Youth soccer clubs in Washington, and the ones that come here to play: the leagues and tiers they play in, their teams and coaches — and what it’s actually like there, written anonymously by parents and players.

92 Washington clubs. Each circle is a club, sized by its teams; tap one to see where it plays its home games.

Each club's area is drawn around the grounds where it played league home games in the last year, a few kilometres past them. A league's central site that many clubs list as home (Starfire, for one) is left out, and so is a far ground holding only a game or two. Grounds are placed from OpenStreetMap by name, or by the ZIP code or town the league printed, so a point is close, not exact. The circle's size is the number of teams the club has. A club whose home grounds could not be placed is drawn round the address its own website gives, and failing that sits at its city, with no area.
